Ilkley 2nd XV suffered a close defeat in the first League match of the 2022/23 season. Saturday 3rd September 2022 - Stacks Field, Ilkley - Ilkley 2nd XV 7 pts, Heath 2nd XV 15 pts Ilkley’s 2nd XV also had a tough assignment against a strong Heath second string on Saturday 3rd September.
They suffered a narrow defeat 15 - 7. Lots of promise in that fifteen with several young men getting their first taste of senior rugby. The Ilkley squad have lots to look forward to this season with promising players, strong tactics and a budding fan base.
