Ilkley Rugby Football Club is excited to announce that the Leeds Medics Rugby team will be using the Ilkley RUFC pitches for several of their home matches during the 2024/25 season. This long-standing partnership between Ilkley RUFC and Leeds Medics continues to strengthen, as the club welcomes the Leeds side back for another season of competitive action.
The Leeds Medics 1st and 2nd XV will play several key matches on the Ilkley grounds as part of the NAMS (National Association of Medical Schools) League. Matches are scheduled as follows:
1st XV Fixtures:
• Manchester Medics RUFC – 23rd October @ Ilkley RUFC
• Liverpool Medics RUFC – 6th November @ Ilkley RUFC
• Sheffield Medics RUFC – 27th November @ Ilkley RUFC
2nd XV Fixtures:
• Nottingham Medics RUFC – 11th December @ Ilkley RUFC
This partnership also underscores the close connection between Leeds Medics and Ilkley RUFC’s 3rd XV, with many players often transitioning between the two teams. The relationship highlights the role of grassroots rugby in developing players and fostering a competitive and spirited rugby community.
